Accessibility

Peckham Digital is for everyone and we want all of our events to be fully accessible where possible. If you have any questions or concerns that aren't answered below, please send us an email and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.

Step Free Access

Both of our main venues, The Hub and Staffordshire Street, have step free access from the street. Both are ground floor only venues and are wheelchair accessible.

SET Social, which hosts one of our workshops on Saturday 20th July (Meme-tivism for Feminist Data Literacy), does not have step free access or accessible toilets. Additionally, the workshop will take place on a raised stage area approximately 1 metre high accessed via multiple steps.

The London Creative Coding Meetup (Thursday 18th July) will be held in the Lecture Theatre of the Creative Computing Institute at UAL Camberwell. There is step free access via lift, with the auditorium located on the lower ground floor inside the building.

Toilets

The Hub and Staffordshire Street have free accessible toilets available on the ground floor.

SET Social does not have accessible toilets.

The Creative Computing Institute at UAL Camberwell has accessible toilets on the ground floor. Please note that the Lecture Theatre is located on the lower ground floor, accessible via lift.

Transport

The nearest station for The Hub is Peckham Rye. This is around a 11 minute walk.

The Hub has a drop off point directly outside the front of the venue on Bonar Road, on a quiet street. Please note that you will not be able to park directly outside the venue, this is for drop offs only.

The nearest station for Staffordshire Street is Queens Road Peckham, which is around a 10 minute walk. Peckham Rye station is around a 13 minute walk and The Hub is around a 7 minute walk.

Staffordshire Street is on the corner of Goldsmiths Road, which has space for vehicle drop offs. Please note that Staffordshire Street itself (the street, not the venue) has limited access to vehicles, so please use Goldsmiths Road for arrivals. The entrance to the venue is approximately 20 metres from the corner.

The nearest station for SET Social is Peckham Rye, which is around a 7 minute walk. The Hub is around an 18 minute walk away.

There are multiple buses that drop off nearby all of our venues. We recommend using Google Maps or Citymapper to plan your journey.

See our Venue page for more information, including maps.

Induction Loops

Induction loops are available at The Hub. This covers all workshops in the Teaching Lab and all talks in the Auditorium.

Noise

All of our venues have low noise levels.

Free earplugs will be available at our Algorave at Staffordshire Street on Saturday 20th July.

British Sign Language (BSL) and Audio Description Tours

We have a free Audio Description tour of our exhibition for blind and partially sighted visitors on Saturday 20th July.

We have a free British Sign Language (BSL) tour for Deaf and hard of hearing BSL users on Sunday 21st July.

Both tours are free but booking tickets in advance at the links above is essential.

Both tours will last about 40 to 50 minutes.

Support at the festival

We will have volunteers and festival staff on hand throughout the festival to provide support. We will be wearing magenta lanyards and are happy to help, so please do not hesitate to contact us.
